โ€œIโ€™m cousin to the world,โ€ says Jeff Tweedy. โ€œI donโ€™t feel like Iโ€™m a blood relation, but maybe Iโ€™m a cousin by marriage.โ€

The bandโ€™s first album since Cruel Country, Cousin has been produced by Cate Le Bon. โ€œThe amazing thing about Wilco is they can be anything,โ€ Le Bon says. โ€œTheyโ€™re so mercurial, and thereโ€™s this thread of authenticity that flows through everything they do, whatever the genre, whatever the feel of the record. There arenโ€™t many bands who are able to, this deep into a successful career, successfully change things up.โ€
