One of those weeks when a big bunch of new things arrive simultaneously, I’m pleased to say: I think there are only three of this lot that have been on previous playlists.
For those of you who joined in on the Ariel Pink debate last week, I have the whole album now, and will try and do something on that soon. Also, in response to the questions about the new Teenage Fanclub, I’m beginning to suspect “Shadows” is a kind of typical latterday Fanclub record: one that seems completely underwhelming to me on first listen, but reveals itself to be pretty compelling by the fifth.
