Metallica and Lou Reed are streaming their new collaboration album โ€˜Luluโ€™ online in full at their official website Loureedmetallica.com.

The album, which is based around German playwright Frank Wedekindโ€™s 1913 play about the life of an abused dancer, is due for formal release on October 31, with the North American release following a day later on November 1, but is now available to be heard in full.

The LP, which has seen its cover art banned by Transport For London for looking โ€œtoo much like graffitiโ€, was recently described by Metallicaโ€˜s guitarist Kirk Hammett as โ€œone of the best things weโ€™ve ever doneโ€ and Reed himself has been equally confident, calling โ€˜Luluโ€™: โ€œOne of the best things done by anyone, ever.โ€

Metallica will perform tracks from โ€˜Luluโ€™ with Reed on November 8 on Laterโ€ฆ With Jools Holland.
