The poppy metal of โ€œCarry Onโ€ comprises another entry in Cornellโ€™s catalogue of partial successes. There is one tremendous high point โ€“ his superb Bond theme, โ€œYou Know My Nameโ€, co-written with David Arnold.

There is one jaw-dropping nadir โ€“ a baffling reading of Michael Jacksonโ€™s โ€œBillie Jeanโ€. In between, thereโ€™s a lot of in-between.
