Record Store Day organisers have responded to Paul Weller's decision to boycott of the event in future after copies of his limited run 7" "Brand New Toy" were being sold on Ebay for vastly inflated prices.

As with a majority of other releases this year, copies of the record appeared on eBay later that same day while other fans complained of the release being sold out as soon as record shops opened their doors.
