Some biggish 2011 releases rolling in now, including one which I may draw a discreet veil over. I’m trying, too, to check out a few of your recommendations, following the Date Palms revelation.
A couple of you mentioned the Wolf People album in your end-of-year lists; thanks for that, I thought it was much better than the stuff I’d heard from them before. If I can bang on a bit more about Date Palms for one more day, though, Michael emailed me overnight and compared it with an ECM album by Collin Walcott called “Grazing Dreams”, which I’ll try and get hold of later. Good stuff.
