Coldplayโ€˜s Chris Martin has revealed that the bandโ€™s forthcoming new record is a โ€œconcept albumโ€.

Although he is yet to reveal the albumโ€™s title or release date, Martin confirmed that it is โ€œa concept album but itโ€™s supposed to be very personal within a big frameworkโ€.

Speaking about the concept, Martin told BBC News: โ€œItโ€™s from the point of view of two people who are a bit lost.โ€

He added: โ€œTwo like-minded outsiders who meet in a very difficult environment and therefore have a journey together.โ€

The band have been working with Brian Eno and producer Marcus Dravs on sessions for the follow-up to 2008โ€™s โ€˜Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friendsโ€™, with Martin saying they โ€œspent a year making a lot of noiseโ€.
