Gallagher has previously been linked with the Labour party, even attending a post-election party thrown by a newly elected Tony Blair in 1997.

Speaking ahead of tomorrowโ€™s election, the former Oasis guitarist/songwriter joked that if he was able to, heโ€™d vote for footballer Carlos Tevez, who plays for his beloved Manchester City.

In an interview with FA TV, Gallagher said: โ€œMe and my missus were going on about [the election], and sheโ€™s saying, โ€˜Who you voting [for]?โ€™ And I said well โ€˜Iโ€™m not voting for anyone. Iโ€™m just gonna take me voting card and Iโ€™m gonna put in massive letters โ€œTevez is god!โ€โ€˜โ€
