This is the last newsletter of 2013, and therefore an appropriate moment perhaps to thank you for your support over the last 12 months and wish you all the best for the New Year. ‘Fifty Years of The Who’ photography exhibition to open in 2014

A photography exhibition featuring pictures of The Who is set to open next year in London. Fifty Years of The Who by photographer Colin Jones will take place at Proud Galleries from February 5 - March 23, 2014, reports Music News. The exhibit will feature pictures taken on the road, backstage and at home with the band.

The Small Faces confirm tracklisting and release date for deluxe collector’s box set

The Small Faces have confirmed details for their Here Comes The Nice The Immediate Years Boxset 1967-1969 deluxe collector's box set. The set contains 75 songs spread over 4 CDs remastered from original analogue master tapes and studio multitracks. Rare and previously unreleased material, unheard recording sessions from Olympic, IBC & Trident Studios, outtakes, early mixes, alternate versions and live material across 3CDs.

The 42nd Uncut Playlist Of 2013

Apologies for the frustrating gaps that appear in this week’s playlist. A lot of 2014 releases arriving in the office now, some of which haven’t been officially announced. As a consequence I have to keep their identities suppressed for the time being; I’ll try and fill in the missing words once these albums are formally unveiled.

The Who open pop-up shop and pinball arcade

The Who are opening a new pop-up shop and pinball arcade. The shop will open from November 7 - 15 at 19 Fouberts Place, off Carnaby Street in London. The pop-up shop will stock The Who and Tommy merchandise as well as original 1970s pinball machines, including a very rare Tommy machine. The shop will also host a number of competitions. Whoever gets the highest score on the original Tommy pinball machine will win a special Fender Stratocaster signed by Pete Townshend.

The Who to record new material next year?

Roger Daltrey has suggested The Who might record new material next year, while also played down reports that a proposed Who tour in 2015 will be their last.
