Hear Iggy Pop and Best Coast’s True Blood collaboration

A collaboration between Iggy Pop and Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino, for the soundtrack of TV show True Blood, has debuted online. Visit SoundCloud to listen to the song, which is called "Let's Boot And Rally", and will appear in the next True Blood episode, which airs in the US on July 8. Of the collaboration Iggy Pop has said: "I've always liked to bite. I guess this makes me a singing vampire, does this mean I have a licence to suck? Hi Bethany..."

Iggy Pop and Best Coast join forces for True Blood soundtrack

Iggy Pop and Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino have teamed up to record a song for the TV show True Blood. The pair have apparently recorded a track called "Let's Boot And Rally", which will appear in the episode which airs in the US on July 8. Pitchfork reports that the song will receive its radio debut a few days before the television broadcast date, on July 5. Of the collaboration Iggy Pop said: "I've always liked to bite. I guess this makes me a singing vampire, does this mean I have a license to suck? Hi Bethany..."

John Cale announces new album details

John Cale has announced details of his new album, Shifty Adventures in Nookie Wood. The album will be released on October 1 on Domino Records' Lucky Six label and is his first since blackAcetate in 2005.
