A piece of wall signed by The Beatles during their famous US television debut on The Ed Sullivan Show is to be auctioned in New York.
The piece of stage backdrop was autographed by the band when they made their appearance on the show on February 9, 1964, watched by 73 million fans. It is expected to fetch up to £600,000 ($1 million) when it goes up for sale on April 26 in New York through the Dallas-based auction house Heritage Auctions, AP reports.

A remastered version of the post-rockers' second album will be available on April 15 on CD and heavyweight vinyl.
The set will feature the new version of the album, which has been remastered from the original analog master tapes by producer Bob Weston. It will also feature 14 previously unreleased outtakes and demos selected by the band.

McCartney and Starr took to the stage at Los Angeles' Staples Center and played "Queenie Eye", a recent single from McCartney's latest album New. The performance marked 50 years since The Beatles' career-making performance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Bruce Springsteen has unveiled the video for "Just Like Fire Would", taken from his new album, High Hopes .
The track is a cover of The Saints' 1986 song. The video sees Springsteen playing along with the E Street Band and Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, who features prominently on 'High Hopes'. Scroll to watch the promo.
Jackson Browne is to be honoured by a new tribute album, Looking into You, due for release on April 28 from Music Road Records.
Among the artists covering Browne's songs are Bruce Springsteen, Don Henley, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, JD Souther and Joan As Police Woman.
