Dave Grohl has revealed that Nirvana approached PJ Harvey and a number of male rock stars to fill in for Kurt Cobain at the band's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony.
The event, which took place at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on April 10, saw four female performers stand in for Cobain: St Vincent, Joan Jett, Kim Gordon and Lorde.
Manic Street Preachers played new song "Let's Go To War" for the first time as they ended their UK tour in London last night (April 11).
The band offered up a taste of new album Futurology during their headline performance at O2 Academy Brixton with Nicky Wire introducing the track by saying: "Please excuse me if I fuck it up. This is a nice marching song, it's called 'Let's Go To War'."
The papier mâché head worn by Arcade Fire band member Richard Reed Parry as part of the band's live show has gone missing.
The stage prop was taken during Reflektor Tour show in Bridgeport, Connecticut on March 18.
A statement from the band, relayed by Brooklyn Vegan, states that the band have photos of the theft in progress. They are appealing for the return of the mask.

Manic Street Preachers have revealed they have been asked to appear on Question Time.
The band shared the unusual press request with fans on Twitter yesterday (September 26):
"Been asked to do question time again- time to unleash my inner nye bevan/malcolm tucker(thick of it)onto the tv screens of britain???x"
In a follow-up tweet, the band hinted that they would probably turn the invitation down by writing "Maybe not-xxx".

The track, due for release on September 9, is the lead single from the band's 11th studio album, Rewind The Film, which follows a week later.

Rewind The Film is released on September 16 through Columbia Records and is preceded with a single "Show Me The Wonder" the week before.
