Queen to release rare recording of landmark concert

A previously unreleased live album by Queen is finally set to be released. Live At The Rainbow '74 will come out on September 8 in a variety of formats including a DVD featuring live footage. The show was recorded at London's Rainbow venue on March 31, 1974, over 40 years ago.

The Black Keys says they ‘feel embarrassed’ for Jack White over leaked emails

Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of The Black Keys have said they "feel embarrassed" for Jack White following an incident last year in which e-mails he allegedly sent criticising the duo were revealed. In 2013, an email leaked to TMZ which was allegedly sent by White to his ex-wife Karen Elson appeared to show White branding Dan Auerbach a "copy" and an "asshole".

Mercury Rev to play Deserter’s Songs in full

Mercury Rev will perform Deserter's Songs in full during their headline set at this year's Green Man Festival. The band will perform their 1998 album in full on August 16 at the festival, which takes place on Glanusk Estate, Black Mountains in the Welsh Brecon Beacons. Recently lso added to the bill are acts including Joanna Gruesome, The Field, Augustines, Ben UFO, Ought, The Pooh Sticks, Vancouver Sleep Clinic and H Hawkline, as well as DJ sets from Huw Stephens, Heavenly DJs and Simian Mobile Disco.

The storms battering the South Coast have blown themselves out by the time Club Uncut reconvenes for another year at The Great Escape festival. It’s after midnight and very nearly pitch-black in the Dome Studio just before our first night’s headliners, The Hold Steady, dramatically hit the lights, then the stage. “As the song says,” Craig Finn promises, “we’re gonna have a real good time together.”

Michael Eavis hints at third Glastonbury headliner

Michael Eavis has dropped some hints about the mysterious third Glastonbury headliner. Arcade Fire and Kasabian have been confirmed for the Friday and Sunday at the festival respectively but the Saturday night headliner has not yet been revealed. The announcement is expected to arrive imminently, with Eavis saying the full line-up will be issued at the beginning of May.
