Jack White reveals former anxiety issues

Jack White has spoken out about his anxiety issues. In a new interview, the former frontman of The White Stripes has that in his days with his old band, he was plagued by concerns over what other people thought about him. "I just sat in the corner, pondering, letting it torture me..." he said. "You just can't win – the judgement that's thrown on you is unbearable." White made the comments to MSN, and also explained that he covered "You Just Can't Win" by Van Morrison as a result of his feelings of vulnerability.

Metronomy, Savages, Coda added to Green Man Festival 2012

Metronomy, Savages and Coda have been added to the bill for this year's Green Man Festival. The festival, which will be headlined by Mogwai, Feist and Van Morrison, takes place in Wales' Brecon Beacons from August 17-19. Also newly added to the line-up are Loney Dear, Tom Williams & The Boat, Dizraeli & The Small Gods, Polaroid 85, Laid Blak and Heymoonshaker. They join a bill that already includes Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, The Walkmen, Jonathan Richman, The Felice Brothers, Tune-Yards, Of Montreal, King Creosote & Jon Hopkins, Michael Kiwanuka and over 30 other acts.

Ron Wood to play with former Rolling Stones members

Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood is to reunite with former Rolling Stones members at a one-off gig this coming Saturday (June 30). The show, curated by Wood, is a celebration of legendary blues label, Chess Records, home to Howlin’ Wolf, Chuck Berry, Etta James and Muddy Waters. Taking place at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo, Wood will be joined by the Stones' original bassist Bill Wyman and his immediate predecessor in the band, guitarist Mick Taylor.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse Announce American Tour

Neil Young and Crazy Horse have announced plans for a string of shows in the US and Canada later this year, including an appearance at the Austin City Limits festival in October. They will play two stand-alone shows at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, on August 5-6, before a host of US dates in October and Canadian shows in November. As of yet, no plans for a UK or European tour have been announced.

Mogwai to headline Green Man Festival 2012

Mogwai have been confirmed as the final headliner of this year's Green Man festival. The Scottish rockers, who released their seventh studio album 'Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will' in 2011, join Feist and Van Morrison in headlining the event, which takes place in Wales' Brecon Beacons from August 17-19. Also newly added to the line-up are Dexys, Cate Le Bon, Lower Dens, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Crybaby, Paul Thomas Saunders, Stuff, Withered Hand and King Charles.
