Atoms For Peace stream surprise Austin gig – watch

Atoms For Peace are currently streaming their last-minute gig at Austin's Moody Theatre on Sunday (October 13) after the festival they were supposed to be playing was cancelled. Following news that the final day of Austin City Limits was to be pulled and after Thom Yorke tweeted: "Austin Texas tonight. A storm to end all storms! Lightning and thunder & rain like I have never seen.." the band decided to play a surprise set in town. The gig is now streaming. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds announce intimate gig

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds have invited fans to attend a special London gig, which will be filmed for a new film about Cave, called 20,000 Days On Earth. The band will play an intimate sow at London's Koko on November 3. Fans wishing to attend can register to purchase tickets via a ballot on the band's website by Monday, October 7 at 9am.

Watch Pixies debut new songs live

The Pixies debuted a number of new songs at a surprise show at the Echo in Los Angeles on Friday [September 6]. The band are due to begin their world tour tonight [September 9]. According to Slicing Up Eyeballs, the band played six new songs, among them "Bagboy" and three songs - "Another Toe", "What Goes Boom" and "Indie Cindy" - from EP-1, which the band released last week.

Pixies release brand new four-track EP and video – watch

Pixies have released a brand new EP and video today (September 3). The four-track EP, titled EP-1, was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales and was produced by Gil Norton, who also helmed previous Pixies releases Dolittle (1989), Bossanova (1990) and Trompe Le Monde (1991). Also released today is the first video from the EP, for the track "Indie Cindy", which you can watch below.
