My Bloody Valentine added to T In The Park line-up

My Bloody Valentine have been added to the T In The Park bill. The festival, which takes place in Balado, Kinross between July 12-14 will be headlined this year by Mumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers. Also included in the raft of artists set to appear are Foals, Haim, Phoenix, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Calvin Harris and Beady Eye, along with Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Dizzee Rascal and Kraftwerk.

Peter Howson’s David Bowie portraits to go up for auction

Ten original drawings of David Bowie from 1994 are among the 390 works being auctioned by Scottish artist Peter Howson OBE. The painter's wife Terry Howson is auctioning the works to raise money for the couple's daughter Lucie, who has Asperger's syndrome, The Times reports. The 10 Bowie drawings are from 1994, when the singer posed for Howson. The pair struck up a friendship after Bowie bought two of his paintings depicting the Bosnian war, where he was an official war artist.

Charlie Watts: “I don’t want to play Glastonbury.”

Charlie Watts has said that he doesn't want to play Glastonbury because he doesn't like festivals or playing outdoors. The Rolling Stones will headline the Saturday night at Glastonbury, joining fellow headliners Arctic Monkeys and Mumford & Sons on the bill for the Worthy Farm festival.

The Rolling Stones have been confirmed as headlining the Saturday night of this year's Glastonbury festival. A post on the official Glastonbury festivals website appeared at 7pm today confirming the line-up of this year's festival. Arctic Monkeys will headline on Friday and Mumford & Sons will headline on Sunday. Other bands playing include Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Portishead, Alabama Shakes, Elvis Costello, Primal Scream, Vampire Weekend, Dinosaur Jr and Cat Power.

Bowie opens David Bowie Café

A promotional David Bowie café serving “shepherd pies” and Bowie-themed cocktails has been opened in Tokyo by the singer's Japanese record label. Sony opened the café as part of their promotion for Bowie's new album, The Next Day.
