149 Bob Dylan acetates have been discovered in boxes in a Greenwich Village apartment.
The recordings consists of in-progress versions of songs made as he was recording his 1969 LP Nashville Skyline and his two 1970 albums, Self Portrait and New Morning.
The records previously belonged to the woman who owned the Greenwich Village building where Dylan had rented a room to use as a studio.
Legendary songwriter Gerry Goffin, who co-wrote a string of chart-topping hits including "The Locomotion", "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman", has died aged 75 in Los Angeles.

Always a bit of a gamble doing this, to be honest but, since it’s June, I’ve tried to put together a list of my favourite albums of 2014 thus far. Many caveats forthcoming, not least that my slightly ad hoc way of trying to remember what I’ve liked means I’ve almost certainly missed a few things.
Morrissey has pulled another show on his current American tour.
The singer was recently forced to cancel a gig in Atlanta, Georgia after being struck down by illness and he has now postponed tomorrow's show (June 6) at the Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. A statement on Morrissey's Facebook page says the gig will now take place at the same venue on June 22.
One of the things I wrote about in the new issue of Uncut is a review of the latest vinyl reissues from what was the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. For a panel to accompany the review, I had the good fortune to speak to composer Paddy Kingsland, one of the legendary studio boffins currently touring in the live iteration of the Workshop.
