Early recordings of Jimi Hendrix made between 1965 and 1967 have been acquired by the Hendrix family's music company, Experience Hendrix LLC, and Sony Music's catalog division, Legacy Recordings.

The first trailer for Jimi: All Is By My Side, the Jimi Hendrix film starring Outkast's Andre 3000, has been revealed. Click below to watch it. Scripted and directed by 12 Years A Slave screenwriter John Ridley, Jimi: All Is By My Side tells the story of Jimi Hendrix's life throughout 1966 and 1967, a period in which he moved to London, formed the Experience and played a career-making set at California's Monterey Pop Festival, which is where the film ends.

First picture released of Andre 3000 as Jimi Hendrix in All Is By My Side biopic

The first picture of Andre 3000 as Jimi Hendrix in the forthcoming biopic has been released. The picture is taken from the website for the Toronto International Film Festival, where the biopic - titled All Is By My Side - will receive its world premiere in September. The festival has also released a new synopsis for the biopic.
