I had the good fortune to interview Jim Jarmusch recently for our An Audience With… feature. As you’d imagine, it was interesting, wide-ranging chat, and inevitably not everything we talked about made it into the magazine. There’s a couple of things in particular that seemed pretty interesting – not least the ‘full’ answer he gave to a question regarding the current status of The Sons Of Lee Marvin, a shadowy cabal whose members – allegedly – include Jarmusch, Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Iggy Pop.

I was struck by a couple of tweets this morning from Peter Watts (@peter_watts and the author of this month’s Ramones cover story in Uncut). The first ran, “I read the word 'liminal' in the Standard the other day. I think that's psychogeography's 'hippie wigs in Woolworths' moment.”
Before the doors of the Dome Studio Theatre even open tonight (Saturday, May 18), there's an excited queue stretching most of the way down the street. Not surprising considering one of the most hyped groups of this year, Irish band The Strypes, are first on the bill.
While last night's Club Uncut at Brighton's Great Escape festival hosted bands with a definite Americana bent, Friday (May 17) sees the invasion of US-based (or -inspired) garage-rockers.
Another year, another three days of fantastic music at Brighton's Dome Studio Theatre, curated by Uncut, as part of The Great Escape – this year promises perhaps the most high-energy lineup yet at Club Uncut, with highlights over the weekend including Mikal Cronin, White Fence and Allah-Las. But first, Thursday (May 16) sees Phosphorescent headlining.
Atoms For Peace unveiled their debut BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix on Saturday night (March 9), featuring previously unheard Thom Yorke and Radiohead tracks.
As well as cuts from Oneohtrix Point Never, Actress, Aphex Twin, and DOOM, the mix also featured a new Thom Yorke track titled 'Has Been' as well as unreleased Radiohead guitar loop 'Harmonics Loop'. Listen to it here.
Blur will headline an intimate gig at The 100 Club next month as part of Converse's 'Represent' series of free shows.
Damon Albarn and co have been confirmed as the headline act for the August 2 show, and will play last on a bill which includes a stellar supporting cast of The Bots, Savages and Swiss Lips. To get tickets, fans need to visit Converse.co.uk/blur from 9am on Wednesday August 1, with registration open until 6pm. Successful applicants will be notified by email and must confirm if they can attend by 12pm on August 2.
Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee has posted a Facebook rant at fans who ask him for a picture.
In the post the drummer says people can’t even imagine "what kinda crazy has happened" when fans ask him to pose for photos when he is trying to have private time.
