David Bowie has released a new single, "Where Are We Now?", this morning [January 8 - Bowie's birthday]. You can watch the video below. The single will be followed on March 12 by THE NEXT DAY, Bowie's first new album in 10 years and his 30th studio recording. It has been produced by Tony Visconti. Roger Waters will take his live show of The Wall back on the road in Europe next year. Waters will play London’s Wembley Stadium on 14 September 2013, plus 24 dates in Europe. The 2013 shows will all take place outside. At a press conference in London today [November 15], Waters also spoke about the likelihood of his former Pink Floyd bandmates – specifically David Gilmour – appearing on stage during the new batch of dates. Waters was joined by Gilmour and Nick Mason last year at London’s O2.

According to reports, Mike Love is to continue touring without Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and David Marks when the current 50th anniversary tour finishes at the end of this week. The line-up for future shows will instead consist of Love, Bruce Johnston along with their regular touring band. "As we move on, Bruce and I look forward to performing live for Beach Boys fans everywhere," Love said in a press release, also noting, "The 50th Reunion Tour was designed to be a set tour with a beginning and an end to mark a special 50-year milestone for the band."

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has spoken about his recent revelation that he once discovered his mother naked with David Bowie. The legendary axeman, who released his second solo album Apocalyptic Love in May, revealed to Australian radio station Triple M that he walked in on his costume-designer mother Ola Hudson and Bowie in the nude together when he was just eight years old. The anecdote was widely reported, something that the guitarist now says he was "embarrassed" about and that the whole revelation was "very awkward".

Legendary lyricist Hal David has died at the age of 91. David passed away yesterday (September 1) following complications from a stroke at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, reports Rolling Stone. David was Burt Bacharach's songwriting partner and wrote the lyrics for such classic tracks as "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head", "I'll Never Fall In Love Again", "Do You Know The Way To San Jose", "Walk On By", "What The World Needs Now Is Love", "I Say A Little Prayer" and "(There's) Always Something There To Remind Me".

David Bowie has broken his silence to say he is not involved in a retrospective of his costumes at London's Victoria & Albert Museum. The Observer reported this week that the legendary singer would co-curate an exhibition of his life and work told through his extravagant costumes next year. The show was said to chart his rise to cult status, using his collection of outfits to document his changing identity, with him selecting outfits for the retrospective.

David Gray has angered residents in London's Crouch Hill after he announced that he is planning to turn historic recording studio The Church Studios into a block of flats and offices. The studio, which has hosted sessions by the likes of Bob Dylan, My Bloody Valentine, Radiohead, Kaiser Chiefs and Bombay Bicycle Club, is a converted church and was originally owned by Eurythmics' Dave Stewart before he sold it to Gray in 2003.

Bjork and legendary broadcaster David Attenborough have teamed up for a music documentary. Attenborough And Bjork: The Nature Of Music looks at the evolution of music, our relationship with music and how technology could impact this relationship in the future. Directed by Louise Hooper, the film is set to be broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK, reports Hollywood Reporter.
