Atoms For Peace, London Roundhouse, July 24, 2013

At 7pm on the first night of Atoms For Peace’s London residency, the Amok Drawing Room has already sold out of commemorative mugs. The Enterprise pub across the road from the Roundhouse has been rebranded in expressionist monochrome, and an upstairs room has been upholstered in Stanley Donwood wallpaper, the better to sell exquisite £500 prints, t-shirts screenprinted while-you-wait, and a pointedly apocalyptic jigsaw puzzle.

Amy Winehouse exhibition to open

A new Amy Winehouse exhibition will open at Proud gallery in Camden, London later this year to mark what would have been the singer's 30th birthday. Amy Winehouse: For You I Was a Flame is curated by the Amy Winehouse Foundation with the support of her family. It will be one of a series of events celebrating the singer and will feature Dean Chalkley's now infamous 2011 NME cover along with other shots by Andy Willsher.

Amy Winehouse tribute statue greenlit by council

Camden Council have given the go-ahead to the plans to install a statue of late singer Amy Winehouse in the borough. Artist Scott Easton's sculpture of the singer has been in the works for some time but, according to the Camden New Journal, Camden Town Conservation Authority had stated its opposition to the proposal. However, after a meeting earlier this week, local councillors approved the project and the statue will now be installed at a balcony in at Camden's Roundhouse venue this September.

Senna director to work on official Amy Winehouse documentary

Amy Winehouse is to be the subject of a new documentary from the director of Senna, it has been confirmed. The as yet untitled film will be directed by Asif Kapadia, who directed the 2010 film Senna, about Formula 1 driver, Ayrton Senna. James Gay-Rees, who produced the Banksy documentary Exit Through The Gift Shop is also attached to the project.

George Harrison “Blue Jay Way” house sold for $3.8 million

The house where George Harrison wrote “Blue Jay Way” has sold for $3.8 million (£2.5 million). 1567 Blue Jay Way Los Angeles, CA 90069 was first put on the market last April with an asking price of $4,599,000 (£3,025,657). The “Bird Streets” of Hollywood Hills are an exclusive neighborhood overlooking the Sunset Strip. 1567 Blue Jay Way was owned by Peggy Lee's manager, Ludwig Gerber. The song was written in August 1967 at the property, where Harrison was staying with his wife Pattie, Apple Corps exec Neil Aspinall and "Magic" Alexis Mardas.

Led Zeppelin meet Barack Obama at the White House

Led Zeppelin have been honoured at the White House by Barack Obama for their contribution to America culture and the arts – watch a video of it below. Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page were among a group of artists who received Kennedy Centre Honours, Sky News reports. David Letterman and Dustin Hoffman also received the award. "When Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham burst onto the musical scene in the late 1960s, the world never saw it coming," Obama said in his tribute.

Beach House unveil video for ‘Wild’ – watch

Beach House have unveiled the video for their new single, 'Wild'. Click below to watch the occasionally unsettling promo, which debuted on Pitchfork and features a series of urban vignettes, including violent and sexual scenes. The video was directed by Johan Renck, who has previously directed videos by New Order, The Libertines, The Streets, Bat For Lashes and Suede, as well as Lana Del Rey's recent H&M commercial, in which she sang a version of jazz standard 'Blue Velvet'.

Elvis Presley’s Beverly Hills house up for sale

Elvis Presley's Beverly Hills house has been put up for sale. The singer's home, which he lived in with his wife Priscella, has been put on the market for a cool $12.9million, according to real estate operator Truila. The listing states that the four bedroom, five bathroom French regency-styled estate sits on a 1.18 acre property and boasts panoramic views of Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean.
