Robert Plant announces North American tour dates

Robert Plant has announced a run of North American tour dates with his band, the Sensational Shape Shifters. The 21 date tour starts on June 20 in Dallas, Texas and takes in Portland, Chicago and Memphis before winding up on July 27 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

Bob Dylan, Wilco and My Morning Jacket for joint North American tour

Bob Dylan is to team up with Wilco and My Morning Jacket for a run of 26 dates in North America. The tour - which will be called the Americanarama Festival of Music - will also feature additional artists the Richard Thompson Electric Trio and Ryan Bingham at select venues. The dates begin on June 26 in West Palm Beach, Florida taking in Nashville, Chicago and Denver before coming to a close in Mountain View, California on August 4.

Daft Punk officially release “Get Lucky” on iTunes

A full-length version of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" can now be downloaded on iTunes. A one-minute-long version of the track, featuring Pharrell on vocals and Chic's Nile Rodgers on guitar, debuted on a commercial screened at last weekend's Coachella festival, and then during the latest episode of US TV show Saturday Night Live, broadcast on April 13.

The White Stripes to release ‘Nine Miles From The White City’ live album

The White Stripes will release a live album titled 'Nine Miles From The White City', it has been confirmed. The release will come through Jack White's Third Man Records Vault subscription service and will be released as a double vinyl LP featuring 26 songs. Recorded at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom in 2003, the tracklisting includes fan favourites such as 'Hotel Yorba' and 'Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground' as well as a number of cover versions of songs by Bob Dylan and Captain Beefheart.

Charlie Watts: “I don’t want to play Glastonbury.”

Charlie Watts has said that he doesn't want to play Glastonbury because he doesn't like festivals or playing outdoors. The Rolling Stones will headline the Saturday night at Glastonbury, joining fellow headliners Arctic Monkeys and Mumford & Sons on the bill for the Worthy Farm festival.
