Radiohead launch PolyFauna app

Radiohead have launched a new app called PolyFauna. Writing about the app at Radiohead.com, Thom Yorke explained it as "an experimental collaboration between us (Radiohead) & Universal Everything, born out of The King of Limbs sessions and using the imagery and the sounds from the song 'Bloom'. It comes from an interest in early computer life-experiments and the imagined creatures of our subconscious."

Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood and The National's Bryce Dessner are set to release a split classical album. The LP, entitled 'St. Carolyn by the Sea'/'Suite From There Will Be Blood' will come out on March 3 and feature Dessner's 2011 work 'St. Carolyn by the Sea' - which features Dessner's brother, The National's Aaron Dessner on electric guitar - 2012's 'Lachrimae' and 2007's 'Raphael' alongside Greenwood's 'There Will Be Blood' score.

Amnesty International has announced the release of a major box set featuring live performances from artists including Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen and Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Titled ¡Released!, the six-disc DVD and two-disc CD box set will feature 12 hours of concert footage shot at Human Rights shows between 1986 and 1998 plus five hours of bonus material including interviews with Springsteen and Sting and a never-before-seen Peter Gabriel tour video.

Extremely rare 1986 Radiohead demo tape to be auctioned in September

An extremely rare Radiohead demo cassette from 1986 is to be sold at auction this September. The demo cassette features six songs that have never appeared on any official Radiohead releases: "Fragile Friend", "Girl (In The Purple Dress)", "Everybody Knows", "Mountains (On The Move)", "Lemming Trail" and "Lock The Door".

Atoms For Peace unveiled their debut BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix on Saturday night (March 9), featuring previously unheard Thom Yorke and Radiohead tracks. As well as cuts from Oneohtrix Point Never, Actress, Aphex Twin, and DOOM, the mix also featured a new Thom Yorke track titled 'Has Been' as well as unreleased Radiohead guitar loop 'Harmonics Loop'. The guitarist joined the ACO Underground (Australian Chamber Orchestra) for their show in a loft apartment in Sydney, where he performed a cover of American composer Steve Reich's piece 'Electric Counterpoint'.

Radiohead to regroup for new album at the ‘end of summer’

Radiohead's Colin Greenwood has said that the band will be getting back together to work on their new album at the end of this summer. Speaking to BBC 6 Music, bass player Greenwood said: "We're taking some time out whilst people are doing some other stuff, doing their own things, and the plan is to get back together again [at the] end of the summer." Radiohead released their eighth album, 'The King Of Limbs', in 2011 and played a UK arena tour last autumn.
