While “Seein’ Things” provides a rare moment of Gorky’s-style exuberance, elsewhere the mood is as hushed and contemplative as a candle-lit service. Churls may bemoan the lack of variety in these barren grooves, but for those who prefer their folk chilled by icy modernism, this is an intrepid, boundlessly rewarding delight.
