Courtney Love reunites classic Hole line-up; announces new single

Courtney Love has reunited the Celebrity Skin line-up of Hole. Love has joined forces with guitar player Eric Erlandson, bassist Melissa Auf der Maur and drummer Patty Schemel, reports Rolling Stone: "I started playing with Patty and Melissa and Eric, just to see how that was. We already played like three or four times in the last week."

Sex Pistols, David Bowie and Paul Weller among artists set for exclusive Record Store Day releases

Nirvana, Paul Weller and Oasis are among the artists who have contributed releases to Record Store Day 2014. Paul Weller will release new material on a seven-inch, with the single limited to just 2,500 copies. Meanwhile, Nirvana's 'Pennyroyal Tea' will be released on the same format and Oasis' debut single 'Supersonic' will be re-released on 12-inch. A full list of all of this year's releases can be found on the official Record Store Day website.

Suede to release “lost” single for Record Store Day

Suede are to release their "lost" single, "Let Go", on 7" vinyl on Record Store Day 2014 (april 19). The track was originally issued as a CD single in Sweden in 1999. The Record Store Day 7” single (backed with "Heroin") coincides the release of the Suede 7” Singles Box Set on April 14, but will not be included in it. Jarvis Cocker unveils Pulp documentary

A new documentary charting Pulp's homecoming show in Sheffield in December 2012 has been unveiled at the SXSW Film Festval. The movie, simply entitled Pulp, received its world premiere in Austin, Texas, and also had a follow-up screening last night (March 12) at the city's Stateside Theatre, at which Jarvis Cocker and director Florian Habicht were present.

On Michael Head’s “Artorius Revisited”, and beyond…

Sometime last autumn, maybe, an EP called “Artorius Revisited” by Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band was quietly released in limited quantities. Last time he surfaced around 2006/2007, in a quixotic, thwarted and mostly transcendent musical career that now stretches back some three decades, Head and his longest-lasting configuration, Shack, were signed to Noel Gallagher’s Sour Mash label. It didn’t last.

James Taylor announces tour dates

James Taylor has announced a 10 date UK tour with his band to take place in September/October 2014. Watch Tom Waits play his first show in five years

Tom Waits played his first live show in five years on Sunday [October 27] at Neil Young's Bridge School benefit concert. Scroll down to watch fan footage of the entire 10 song set. Waits was accompanied by David Hidalgo on guitar and accordion, Les Claypool on bass and Casey Waits on drums. Waits has played the Bridge School Benefit concerts twice before, first in 1999 and then in 2007, when he performed with the Kronos Quartet.
