Reg Presley dies aged 71

Reg Presley has died at the age of 71. Presley died at his home in Andover, Hampshire – the town of his birth – from cancer yesterday (February 4), in the company of his family. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in December 2012 during a tour of Germany, and is reported to have had a number of strokes before the diagnosis, according to messages posted by music publicist and close friend Keith Altham.

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds have unveiled the video for their song 'Jubilee Street'. The NSFW promo was directed by longtime Cave collaborator John Hillcoat (Lawless, The Proposition), and features Brit actor Ray Winstone. The video was shot in the East End of London at the end of last year. Scroll down to watch. Speaking about the video, Cave said: It was a real pleasure hanging around the set and watching Ray do his thing. He is a master. What a great actor. And of course, working with my friend and collaborator John Hillcoat is always a blast.

Searching For Sugar Man star Rodriguez “to record third album in June”

Rodriguez, the star of Oscar nominated documentary Searching For Sugar Man, is preparing to release his first album since Coming From Reality in 1971. Speaking to Rolling Stone, the 70 year-old said he was looking to record with a couple of producers including Steve Rowland. "He told me to send him a couple of tapes, so I’m gonna do that," Rodriguez said. "I certainly want to look him up, because now he’s full of ideas."

Bjork launches Kickstarter campaign for Biophilia Educational Program

Bjork has started a Kickstarter campaign for her Biophilia Educational Program. The project is named after the singer's 2011 album and sees her looking to raise money to educate children about science and music through the apps which she launched with the album. Bjork said: "The Biophilia Educational Program is a new way to teach children about science and music. It has met with success in many cities, sparking interest from kids and educators from all over the world, from South America to East Asia to Africa."

Reunited Black Flag recording new album

Recently reunited hardcore group Black Flag are set to record a brand new album. Last week, the 1979-80 line-up of the band - fronted by Ron Reyes - announced that they would be reforming to play the Hevy Fest in Kent as well as Ruhrpott Rodeo in Germany and the Muddy Roots Music Festival in Tennessee. However, on the same day, another incarnation of the band also announced that they would be playing shows in 2013.
