Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers have nearly completed their new album, according to Benmont Tench.
The Heartbreakers' keyboard player has been speaking to Uncut ahead of the release of his solo album, You Should Be So Lucky.
When asked about the status of the new Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers album, Tench told Uncut: "I think we’re virtually done. We cut a lot of stuff; Tom just wants to get the right batch of songs. That’s the scoop on it."
Robert Plant Presents the Sensational Space Shifters has announced the first of their 2014 European tour dates.
The tour will support a new album out this year, with dates beginning June 10 in Gothenberg, Sweden and across Europe including Russia, Ireland, Germany and more, with a special date at Glastonbury Abbey on August 9.

Damon Albarn's Africa Express project has announced details of a new album release.
Africa Express Presents: Maison Des Jeunes will be released digitally via Transgressive on December 9 with a physical release to follow in 2014. The project features contributions from Albarn, Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner and Brian Eno, among others, after they spent time working with local musicians from Mali in October of this year.
