Television reveal they have nearly-finished album sitting in the vaults

Television nearly completed a comeback album six years ago, it has been revealed. The band recorded 16 songs at New York's Stratosphere Sound recording studios between Christmas and New Year in 2007 with engineer Geoff Sanoff. The tracks, which have been sitting in the vaults ever since, still need mixing and vocals, Rolling Stone reports.

Bruce Springsteen, Hard Rock Calling, London, June 30, 2013

In case we need reminding, the last time Bruce Springsteen played Hard Rock Calling – at Hyde Park, last July – a curfew was broken, the PA switched off, and Springsteen and a guesting Paul McCartney were silenced mid-song. It seems unlikely there would be a repeat of such shenanigans this year.
