Bruce Springsteen, Hard Rock Calling, London, June 30, 2013

In case we need reminding, the last time Bruce Springsteen played Hard Rock Calling – at Hyde Park, last July – a curfew was broken, the PA switched off, and Springsteen and a guesting Paul McCartney were silenced mid-song. It seems unlikely there would be a repeat of such shenanigans this year.

Bob Dylan confirmed for Coen Brothers film soundtrack

Bob Dylan is among the artists appearing on the soundtrack for Inside Llewyn Davis, the new film from the Coen Brothers. The film, which is set in Greenwich Village in the early 1960s and stars Oscar Isaac as an upcoming folk singer, contains contemporaneous music by Dylan and Dave Van Ronk alongside material performed by members of the cast, including Isaac and Justin Timberlake, and Marcus Mumford.

Laura Marling streams new album ‘Once I Was An Eagle’ ahead of official release

Laura Marling is streaming her new album, Once I Was An Eagle, online a week before its official release. Listen to the follow-up to 2011's A Creature I Don't Know via The Guardian. Her fourth album, it was recorded at the Three Crows Studio owned by producer and solo musician Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon, Ryan Adams, Vaccines), with Dom Monks on engineering duties. It is set for release on May 27.

Laura Marling has unveiled the video for her track "Master Hunter". The song features on Marling's forthcoming new album Once I Was An Eagle.
