John Cale is to showcase a new work at London's Barbican Theatre in September. The musician's new "audio-visual collaboration" is called LOOP@@60Hz: Transmissions From The Drone Orchestra.

Morrissey “still ill in hospital” claims Cliff Richard

Cliff Richard reportedly told his audience that Morrissey is ill and in hospital during a free headline show in New York on Saturday night (June 21). Sir Cliff played at The Gramercy Theatre after his Morrissey support show was cancelled. Ticket holders for the original show at Brooklyn's Barclays Centre were let in as a priority at what was the singer's first US date since 1981.

Ray Davies: “America has finally accepted The Kinks”

Ray Davies made an appearance at the Hay Festival on Tuesday, May 26. During the interview, Davies discussed his forthcoming induction into the American Songwriters' Hall of Fame on June 12 and his ongoing relationship with the US. According to The Telegraph Davies told the Hay Festival audience that the honour was "a big deal because it means that America has finally accepted the Kinks".
