Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic joins The Vaselines to perform ‘Jesus Doesn’t Want Me For A Sunbeam’

Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic joined Scottish indie stalwarts The Vaselines onstage to perform "Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam" on Monday (September 3). The performance, which you can watch above, took place at Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival and saw the reclusive grunge icon play accordion on the track.

Pulp to play Christmas homecoming gig in Sheffield

Pulp have announced details of a one-off Christmas homecoming show. It will be the band's first UK date since a performance at London's Royal Albert Hall in March. After reuniting last year, Pulp are currently on a brief European festival tour, which will conclude with an appearance at Fiera della Musica in Italy on Friday (July 13). Earlier today (July 10), the reunited five-piece posted the date and venue of the Sheffield show on their Twitter page, writing:

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion to release first new album in eight years

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion are set to release their first new album in eight years. The 12 track Meat And Bone will be released on September 17 and follows 2004's Damage – which was released under the shortened name of Blues Explosion. It features 12 tracks, and will be the band's ninth LP. Scroll down to listen to the album's opening track "Black Mold".
