Peter Gabriel cancelled Saturday night's (May 10) planned concert in Kiev due to security concerns as violence continues to sweep Ukraine.
In a statement on his website, Gabriel said: "Due to the on-going unrest in Ukraine it has become clear that the security of the touring personnel and equipment cannot be guaranteed during the planned visit to the country and this has presented us with significant logistical difficulties that we have been unable to resolve.

Bruce Springsteen performed live for the first time a song he first wrote 40 years ago in Florida on Tuesday [April 29].
Springsteen and the E Street Band dusted down "Linda Let Me Be the One", a rarity from the Born To Run sessions, during their show at the BB&T Center, Sunrise, Florida.
The track was originally recorded in June, 1975 at the Record Plant in New York during the Born To Run sessions. It subsequently appeared on Tracks, a four-disc box set released by Springsteen in 1998.

Director Dexter Fletcher has reportedly quit the forthcoming Freddie Mercury biopic.
Deadline says that filmmaker Fletcher, who made his directorial debut with 2012's Wild Bill and also helmed last year's Proclaimers-inspired musical Sunshine On Leith, has backed out of the project due to creative differences. His vision for the film reportedly clashed with that of producer Graham King.
