Amnesty International has announced the release of a major box set featuring live performances from artists including Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen and Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
Titled ¡Released!, the six-disc DVD and two-disc CD box set will feature 12 hours of concert footage shot at Human Rights shows between 1986 and 1998 plus five hours of bonus material including interviews with Springsteen and Sting and a never-before-seen Peter Gabriel tour video.

At some point on Sunday night, it seems as if quite a few restless people watching the BBC’s Glastonbury coverage started Googling “threw”, “bottle” and “Mumford & Sons”. For the past 36 hours, the most popular page on www.uncut.co.uk has been an old news story from 2010, in which The Fall’s Mark E Smith articulated his dislike for Mumford & Sons, mistook them for “a load of retarded Irish folk singers," and claimed he threw a bottle at them during a festival in Ireland.
Consider this the last in a short series of encounters with somewhat cantankerous sorts, following accounts in this space over the couple of weeks of meetings with Lou Reed and Gordon Lightfoot, both of which have stirred some passing interest and lively comment. Today’s subject is Van Morrison, by reputation a notoriously tough assignment, as I would discover.
Although I’m currently watching films due for release in July – which will take us over halfway through 2013 – I’m conscious that there’s a lot of great stuff still to come during the rest of the year.
